About Me
I am fortunate to work at both the high school and university level in my home state of Delaware. As a high school Psychology and Sociology teacher, I engage with 10th, 11th, and 12th graders. Some of these students I am able to work with for three years as I teach both General and Advanced Placement Psychology. It brings me true joy to establish meaningful relationships with students that extend past their time with us at Conrad Schools of Science. In fact, I have had the pleasure of teaching a few of them at the University of Delaware where I serve as an adjunct professor in the Education Department. My focus there is on English Learners - which is my specialization. My commitment to UD is strong as it is where I obtained all three of my degrees. Additionally, I have helped to establish the Delaware Teacher Institute (DTI) at the University of Delaware. Modeled after the Yale National Teacher Initiative’s philosophy, this content-based professional development is teacher-driven and led. I truly appreciate the fact that my leadership skills are put to use without having to leave my classroom!

In my spare time I enjoy going to the beach. We have a small place on the border of Fenwick Island, Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland. There I love walking on the beach, relaxing, and laughing with friends. My husband and I believe in giving back to our community so we spend a lot of time working with our neighbors to improve our environment. Additionally, I love cooking and entertaining as well as getting together with the women in our Book Club most of whom I grew up with!
